Terms of Use for PAYE Calculator NZ

PAYE Calculator NZ provides free calculators and reference pages describing how New Zealand pay deductions work. It produces estimates by applying published rates to figures you enter.

It does not provide tax, financial or legal advice, and using it creates no advisory or client relationship. The disclaimer forms part of these terms and sets out the limits of the figures in detail.

The site is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. We take considerable care with the figures, cite every one to its source and verify them against Inland Revenue each year, but we do not warrant that the site is accurate, complete, current or uninterrupted.

Rates change, and pages can go stale between verification passes. You are responsible for confirming anything you rely on against the primary source listed on official sources.

You may use the site for personal and business purposes. You may not:

• scrape, crawl or bulk-download the site in a way that degrades it for others, or attempt to circumvent rate limiting
• republish the calculators or substantial parts of the content as your own, or present our figures as issued by a government agency
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or any system connected to it, or introduce malicious code
• use the site in a way that breaks New Zealand law or infringes another party's rights

You are welcome to link to any page here, and to quote short extracts with attribution to PAYE Calculator NZ and a link to the page quoted. That includes citing a figure in an article, a forum answer or a briefing.

Statutory rates themselves are facts published by Inland Revenue and are not ours to license. The wording, structure, calculation engine and design of this site are ours and are protected by copyright.

To the extent permitted by law, PAYE Calculator NZ is not liable for any loss, cost or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, this site. That includes any decision you make or do not make on the basis of a figure published here.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986 that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where the site is supplied for business purposes, those Acts are excluded to the extent the law allows.

We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site at any time, including a calculator or a page, without notice. Rates are updated each tax year, and dated changes are recorded on the rates changelog.

These terms may change. The effective date above changes with them, and continuing to use the site after that date means you accept the revised terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and the New Zealand courts have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from your use of the site.
